OK, here's where I need all the brainstorming ideas we can come up with. I need suggestions for what to tell the Senate Committee we want to buy with our money.
Here's what I've already got going...
1) More sticks to replace broken ones (both current and future)
2) Some sort of mesh vest so that we can keep track of who is on what team
3) Advertising costs (chalk for the campus sidewalks, copies of fliers, etc)
But what else? Please post. I'll check back before I go to the meeting next week and I'll try to cover everything suggested.

While I am not a KU student, I want to wish you luck with student senate budget negotiations. I don't know what it's like at KU, but here at Drake, student senate has a stick up it's (well..you know where) and likes to cut funding and threaten peaceful (albeit liberal) organizations. Good luck

I have some ideas....
1. a first aid kit. Like, with band-aids and gauze and blister protection and hydrogen peroxide. I think this is very important
2. bigger posts. like, taller. (something I am not)
3. a score keeping board of some sort. maybe. (only if I'm on the winning team)
4. a mascot. do we have one? I think it should be a crumpet playing rubber duckie.
5. shoes that make me fly
that's all i have to say about that. 3 more days......

Okie Dokie, The funding has officially come through and we get $430. I'm very pleased, considering I hadn't really planned on getting any. So here's my list of current top priorities for the crumpets club money...
1) First aid kit. I'll check on budget ambulances, too
2) A newspaper ad in the University Daily Kansan (newspaper). Let me know if anybody wants to be in charge of helping me design the ad.
3) A big ol' banner that we can stick in the ground where we play so that everyone will know what this crazy game is as they drive by.
4) Equipment (bats, balls, taller stakes perhaps)
5) Other advertising agents (chalk, fliers, etc)
6) Flying shoes for Mel. Anyone have any ideas on how I can reach Mercury to see who manufactures these shoes? They aren't on Nike's web page.
I'm sure I've left some stuff out, too. Please let me know if you have other ideas.

1) A pen? Maybe a few pens? Or, maybe we could just keep pens in our eq bags... along with paper and stuff.
2) Team indemnification - that is, something we can wear not only to identify us, but to help compensate for being on that particular team (in which case which ever team Rob is on should get to wear it, as they could use all the help they can get). I think we were thinking arm bands? Mesh jerseys? Arm/jersy/band things?
3) A real server - it's not that I don't love having the crumpets site on my computer, it's just that I feel bad that I am unable to give it the reliability that it deserves.
4) Renting the football stadium - well, we may be able to apply to use it for free even.

I really like the ideas. Especially the ad for the UDK and a big honkin' banner. (Wow, what if it really honked?!). We should vote on it sometime. Like, have an official crumpets meeting and try to get as many players possible to come and vote on how to use the funds.

Ok, I just posted a thing about sun skin care in the "Tis but a flesh wound" that I think you should check out. I was considering copying and pasting it here, but that would take too much work and might annoy people, I dunno. So, CHECK IT OUT!
